Welcome to Catan Dice – a companion app for the physical board game Settlers of Catan.

As per its name, Catan Dice is tailored specifically for fans of the renowned board game, Catan. It aims to address common issues that many Catan players often face:

FAIR DICE

Catan Dice tackles the first issue by ensuring that dice rolls conform to the expected distribution over 36 rolls. This feature alleviates concerns about one player getting their desired number repeatedly while others struggle to roll theirs. Upholding fairness enhances the overall enjoyment of the game.

FAIR BOARDS

In striving for fairness, Catan Dice introduces an innovative "house rule" for Catan enthusiasts. It presents an optional bidding system, highly recommended, to determine the placement order of players' initial settlements. Players may bid strategically to secure advantageous starting positions, but this strategic advantage comes at the ongoing cost of resource cards. While this feature remains optional, it adds an element of excitement akin to a casino experience and enriches gameplay with additional strategic depth.
